Show the slotted strut in the trapeze family or set the formula into Rod offset parameter
currently there is no way to set Rod offset value to just a right amount such that the rod slides through the slot in the strut. Neither the trapeze family shows the strut as a slotted one so a user can able to enter the right amount of rod offset value. It is wise to either set some kind of formulae into rod offset parameter to limit it to only accept center of slot dimension from edge of strut or show the slots on the strut.
This will impact the installation hugely especially the prefab racks.

Adam AdminJust a comment on this, we did have this as an option early on. However the performance impact was high due to Revit processing the extrusions within the strut family to show the holes. We can look at this again to see if we can find some ways to address the issue here (specifically know if Rod's may not land on hole openings).
I possible solution that can be done today (to at least identify potential issues), would be to utlize parameter sync and evaluate the Strut width against the rod offset. It may get tricky if the strut widths are not an even value, but for even value widths (length that is at a 2" increments) the rods should land on odd values. -

Rajesh KarlapatiYes for even value widths,1" rod offset would land the rods on the holes but there could be instances where we need to move the rod between the overhead utilities due to coordination and it is time taking to figure out whether the rods land on holes or not. More often these kind of thumb rules will be overlooked during modeling or QC. Instead having it all sorted within the family saves time in Qc'ing and leaves us with more confidence.

Rajesh Karlapatimore feedback, we started seeing jobs where we cant use even valued strut widths due to tight spaces. so definitely need to figure this one out.

AndriiWhat if you will use just a model line to show the openings?
