Quick Dimension to work on hangers

I use the place hangers to populate on say a cable tray run, but often have to adjust them for clashes as coordination on a project progresses, so I dimension the hangers (center to center) to know which ones I have to select to make the adjustments as necessary, and part of that is knowing which ones are at max spacing, it would be nice if the quick dimension tool would allow me to select hangers-rather than the manual dimensioning route.
