Add weight calculations to all the components.
This would be helpful when making conduit racks, duct banks, frames/cubes for prefab electrical rooms. Determine how to install, transport, lift to another level.

Rajesh KarlapatiThis enables us to plan the transportation and lifting activities well ahead as we get to know the challenges before even putting our feet on to the ground.

Jack AtkinsonRight now we are exporting to Inventor to make these weight calculations, but it is not very accurate. Having this feature, and potentially even a center of gravity option would be very helpful for transportation and lifting.

vinton vernierWe frequently are required to calculate point loads for our hanger racks, if we add wire to a conduit run which hangers are attached that weight should easily be calculable.

Jamison ReaseSince Evolve Mechanical seem to have this feature available, is there a way to make (estimated)point loads available in Evolve electrical as well. GCs (General Contractors) are currently asking for point loads on demand. Or is there a workaround by adding a eV_Weight parameter to the conduits with a lookup table using powershell or something. We understand that these are estimate requiring validation by a licensed engineer. Evolve Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halbert J ReaseEvolve Mechanical already has this. Can this feature also be applied to Evolve BIM For Electrical conduits on trapeze systems and electrical equipment. It not much different from mechanical systems. Also provide a lookup tables for the sizes of conduit so the conduits weights per liner foot can be entered in or modified to match specifications we choose for estimation.

GBElectrical Fabrication is expanding, more and more larger skids are being fabricated. Having the ability to calculate weight and center of gravity of the assemblies would be most useful for material handling. Would be helpful if Evolve families would have a parameter for weight and center of gravity in the content.

Rajesh KarlapatiWe would like to see a response comment from evolve team as the upvote on this one would surely catch one's attention and also could help us understand your thoughts on this.
